My first truly authentic experience eating Filipino food was here and it honestly changed my life.
My bro (artist) LXVI and I were greeted by the amazing chef and owner JR who instantly brought out plantain leaves and started torching them explaining that this is the traditional way to eat. With some of the most tender, juicy and flavorful meats mixed with fresh rice and show-stopping drink options you won’t leave unsatisfied ever in this lifetime.

The great people at Calajo have style, class and an incredible knowledge about the Filipino cuisine they cook up so well. I had not fully been introduced to “Ube” before and they made me fall in love. An “ube cheesecake” that changed my life and cookies that were softer than a two-hand touch football tackle. Their desserts deserve a trophy.
Not only that but they have a spam ball combination that is incredibly good. Yes, spam, and yes it’s fiya as hell. I would recommend not only eating with them but learning about their culture and background as they are extremely talented at explaining it in a relatable way!
Maine Street Lobster Truck (Encino to wherever they drive bruh)

This truck is worth it. I’ve watched my bro Dan from legit the beginning of this seafood truck. Fresh ingredients and an evolving menu make this spot a standout. Watching him become one of the busiest and fastest selling out food trucks in the area for lobster has been amazing. Lobster doesn’t get much more fresh.
Try their tater tot options and their fresh lemonade will bring all the pieces of your food puzzle together. The chowder is light but extremely flavorful too! Find the big blue truck and thank me later.

A great variety of flavors and the best part is there’s nothing artificial. This company has a loud presence in branding and flavor.
For frozen pizza this is both above and beyond nearly all other options and at a reasonable price. Available at most big scale distributors such as Ralphs, Pavillions and Vons.
