Stevie’s is no joke. One of the first restaurants we filmed at and one of the most authentic cuisines you’ll have in LA. You don’t have a choice but to get the Cajun fried crab legs. The seasoning will drop kick your taste buds to a dimension you never knew you needed.
Also the gumbo is almost too good to be shared. I know artists and producers from Texas who don’t come to LA without first ordering gumbo from Stevie’s when they touch down. Tag me when you go!

This authentic Moroccan restaurant sticks to it’s roots dishing out piping hot tea and cuisine. The spices in each dish stand out on another level.
Inside the restaurant itself feels like another world as the owner put a lot of time and effort to bring the aura to life like nothing else on Melrose.

I never say this. But. Best pizza in the city. Yup. There could be a longer description and I haven’t tried all the pizza in LA, but this is “one of them ones”.
Chef Ryan, originally from D-Town, does not stray from creating authentic pizza with all sorts of toppings and options. Pizza’s aren’t gigantic but are extremely flavorful, filling and worth every dollar. You literally can’t go wrong. Quote me.

Authentic Puerto Rican food from a mom and pop spot right off Lankershim in North Hollywood?... you for sure can’t go wrong. Ruth Feliciano put me on to this spot.
I swear there was one night I ordered Pollo de Guisado once, brought it to the studio, ate it, then legitimately called them right back and ordered it again. For real.
The flavors are packed to perfection and the freshness of the ingredients are unmatched. Rice cooked perfectly in every dish and the juice that oozes from the chicken dishes will put you in a satisfied food coma til your next meal.

Literally right on PCH overlooking the water, you can’t go wrong with that vibe and ambiance especially on a nice summer or fall day. This spot has an amazing array of classic seafood dishes from fresh lobster rolls to even fresher shrimp Po’ boys.
It isn’t everyday you see me eating oysters, but with a deep knowledge of them Blue Plate chefs have slowly converted me to loving them. With new options on the menu almost every season, there’s never a bad time to stop by. Everyone who works here is hella cool too!

I know, I know, it’s wild, one of my top choices is vegan. As much as I like to poke fun at vegan food I really love it and respect everything it stands for. Lotus is an amazing family owned and operated spot that literally has some of the best food in the city.
Their “orange chicken” was so good that my bro, comedian Malik Bazille legit went back the day after filming to get the same dish. Although they wouldn’t tell us their secrets we were in shock with the flavors and how they manage to make something that isn’t fish taste so much like it and so delicious.

One of the most historic stops on the legendary “Sunset Strip”, Carney’s has been holding a solid reputation for years. You can’t go wrong with classic burgers and dogs. They throw their own twists on fries and chili burgers with chili that is extremely flavorful & goes well on everything they serve.
OH YEA... they also are home to the exclusive “Stay Eatin’ Bruh Combo” which is available at both their Sunset Strip location as well as the Studio City one. Make sure you stop by and catch a vibe at the old train car turned unforgettable restaurant.

True to her Cali roots Annie has molded her “Soul Delicious” restaurant into one of the most popular in the Fairfax area. With a wide variety of popular juice blends, vegan options and a non-stop deep fryer for everything soulful, the kitchen is always busy.
Annie truly keeps it a home-style vibe, learning names and personally dropping dishes. Co-signed by Forrest & Miles, Annie’s Oxtails and fish are my favorites but it’s impossible to miss a fiya meal here.

Any creation from a Beyonce chef & tour run should not be missed & this spot is both. With a prime location in the middle of the sneaker head/fashion epicenter “Love Baked Wings” fits right in with top notch quality and authentic wings.
Everything is made to order and they have a ghost pepper sauce that will knock your tastebuds out but also still leave you with flavor. Try every sauce you possibly can on whatever type of wings you like word to Mari Taylor. Oh yeah, they vegan options too and it ain’t just celery. Tap in with the good people over there on Melrose!

Yup, real authentic southern cuisine tucked in North Hollywood, can’t beat it. Womatic Tracks will confirm that the vibe is on point with art and colors bursting off the walls and the staff is always welcoming. The food... where to start. Oh yeah, the Po’ boys. These are stuffed, packed, and loaded all the way up with gigantic shrimp breaded and seasoned to the max.
Also their menu is fire with items like “Better Than Popeyez Chicken Sandwich” and the “Nipsey Blue Burger” there’s no choice but to come back for more than one visit. I promise you won’t go wrong here and make sure you get a reservation for their busy days cause when it’s packed it’s all the way packed & the vibe is contagious.

Savory and tender halal burgers oozing with flavor and sauces. Located steps away from the NoHo arts district this restaurant is a hidden gem.
Fries, burritos, wings & milkshakes line an action packed menu. Burgers are extremely generous (portion wise) and their shakes are just as flavorful.
KAVALERAS (north hollwood)

With one of the dopest patio vibes in the epicenter of the NoHo arts district, this spot is a stand out. One of the best spots in the area to go for brunch and a wide array of options from legendary tomato soup to exceptional chicken and buiscuits and everything in between, you can’t miss here.
They got their own iconic glizzy too which only makes sense with the name. Amazing staff here and the ambiance is hard to beat especially on a sunny day!
Boo’s Philly (Koreatown & Silverlake) •

It’s not everyday that a seasoned Philly Cheesesteak veteran from the DMV area co-signs a cheesesteak in LA, but Boo’s gets the stamp of approval. My brotha, sought after music producer Jay The Great insists this is the spot and I agree with him.
They say discussions can end after Cheez Whiz & Amoroso rolls enter the equation both of which line the kitchens at Boo’s. Fast paced and jubilant service with consistently fire sandwiches. Stop by today!

A classic in the neighborhood, this staple in the community literally started as a hot dog stand and grew into a pillar in the community. My brotha, music engineer DevRunLA who grew up in the area put me on to it and I haven’t looked back since.
From classic hot dogs and links to vegan options & hosting community events for the whole city, Earle’s really does it all. The restaurant is still family owned and operated by some of the nicest people you’ll meet in the city so don’t miss out. Get the Playaz Punch if you really about that action!
Burrata House (W. Hollywood) •

Hollywood, North Hollywood, Fairfax & out of state, Dave’s Hot Chicken has built a solid reputation as the go to for quality hot chicken that is worth a wait (because there’s always going to be a line). It was one of the first spots we ever filmed at and we got to sit down with one of the owners.
From starting in a Hollywood parking lot to see where they’ve built up to is amazing and something I love to see. They have a wide array of spice levels so get ready to soak it up with the honey and wonder bread that are almost mandatory with the gigantic pieces of chicken.
RAFFI’S PLACE (GLENDALE)

A local favorite and cornerstone in Glendale’s cuisine community. Raffi’s has some of the most tender meat and rice options in LA.
Gourmet dishes with full-bodied flavors leak from the kitchen as food is prepared. I highly recommend the lamb here.

In the heart of Hollywood fresh ground burgers turn the flavor up a notch in the neighborhood below the hills. Stout has a wide range of beers to choose from and various burgers that also pair with the drinks on tap.
Cooked to perfection and oozing with sauce and flavor the burgers do not disappoint and will leave you satisfied every time. Also try their fries because they did not miss in creating some spectacular options for those as well.

Yakumi Life Sushi (Burbank, CA) •

A fast casual sushi experience that’s hard to duplicate. This spot is a must for all sushi lovers. Tap in here for a full modern vibe and some of the freshest sushi I’ve tasted in the valley. With various platters and options as well as eye-catching drink options from sodas to sake, the whole family will leave happy.
The inside of the restaurant has an amazing vibe to it and the staff is knowledgeable and kind, also they have a create sense of humor. The ordering process is teetering on futuristic as they have menus and screens to help get the meals in action quickly.

Yes I’m in a food coma in that picture & I’d do it all again cause it’s fiya! Plus I know, I know, “it’s Hollywood Boulevard, it can’t be that good.” It is that good though. I promise.
The food and ambiance are the perfect match to bring you back in time. Most of the servers have worked there for the majority of their careers so their knowledge is extensive. With some of the best martini’s around and freshest pasta and meatballs I’ve had yet in LA this place hasn’t missed yet. A good date spot just make sure you make reservations ahead cause they’re always full.

FIXINS (DTLA)

Directly in the middle of the ever busy LA Live in DTLA, home cooked recipes flood the kitchen here. Created by former NBA player Kevin Johnson, the restaurant serves soul food classics and desserts.
Banana pudding, chicken and waffles (with grape infused butter), deviled eggs with bacon, these are just a few options that will keep you coming back.
FRATELLI CAFE (MELROSE AVE)

Secluded from the DTLA liveliness, Joey has a vacation feel to it with a sweeping patio outside and a low lit, high ceiling inside.
From buttery sweet chicken with fluffy nan to curry and five dollar happy hour sliders, the menu speaks to all and calms any difficult days.
ERNIE’S (N. Hollywood)

Authentic Mexican dishes stretch from this monumental restaurant that’s been in business for decades.
From burritos stuffed with beans, lettuce, rice and exceptional seasoning to steaming quesadilla’s served on skillets and margaritas. Ernie’s has a welcoming back patio and undeniably tranquil dim lighting for inside dining.
REPUBLIQUE (FAIRFAX) •

Located in the cultural mecca of Fairfax, this high speed brunch spot has plentiful options. Home to some of the freshest eggs and bacon I’ve had in the city.
It’ll be crowded but the line moves surprisingly quick and there’s a cathedral like feel inside with plenty of seating.
Tacos y Birria LA Unica (DTLA Food Truck) •

My brotha Jordan James is an award-winning musician but he also has an uncanny knack for pointing me to insanely fiya food. When he said we had to make a trip there was no arguing. Some of the best, no honestly, probably the best tacos and tostada’s I’ve had yet in the city emerged from here after a short time after ordering. A family owned and operated spot the recipe secrets won’t leave the hardworkers in the kitchen but the unforgettable flavor is shared willingly.
There’s nothing like dunking birrira on top of a car hood. There is no need for picnic tables outside of their truck because the food will be gone too fast it’s that's good. Guaranteed it’s worth a drive from wherever you’re at in LA. Thank me later.
Lobsterdamus (Smorgasburg DTLA & more) •

These guys don’t miss (layups or 3-pointers). From lobster fries to a full on lobster split dead center slathered with garlic butter herbs and noodles, they got it all. Catch them at the ever popular “Smorgasburg” in DTLA when the season is right and hop in line (cause there will be one).
Fresh lobster on a bed of garlic noodles is my personal favorite and although they still won’t tell me their recipes I forgive them. The chefs are talented and it’s a great family business with an amazingly positive staff. If you’re into fries they’ll make a loaded plate that’ll change ya life I promise. One thing is for sure here if you walk around with the plate afterwards multiple people will stop you to ask where they can get it.
Paradis ice cream (DTLA)
• Cost: $ Ambiance: Secluded ice cream shop in Downtown LA.
Ran and operated by two brothers from Asian descent, this European inspired handcrafted ice cream spot has some of the freshest and softest flavors you’ll taste.
Vegan options are present as well as the classics. Flavors range from “double chocolate” to a “cucumber elderflower”. They also offer seasonal flavors as well. Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the area, word to Forrest.
SLOane’s (Valley village)

This is such a stylish spot it feels like you’ve stepped into another country when you walk in. Ducking into the valley village location you are greeted with an aesthetically pleasing combo of tiles and crisp wood on the floor, art and mirrors lining the walls.
Their food is perfect for brunch or lunch dates and or groups. Their Brussels are fire and are legit a shiny gold color with a great crunch. They have an enormous chicken sandwich with fresh ingredients and a deep crisp fry. They also have solid fries and an in-house flan that is a great dessert to grab.

This is a stellar stop for everything from fried fish to authentic falafel and hot wings. Their mixed gyro combo is a standout and the positive energy here is unmatched.
Fresh Middle Eastern recipes from a family run Halal restaurant. It doesn’t get much better or much fresher than what they dish out!
Joe peeps NY pizza (North hollywood)

Inside here is marked up like a subway in Harlem. The artistic walls match the heavy hittin’ fresh flavors of pizza ranging from olives to anchovies (plus all the classics).
Pizza, spaghetti, club sandwiches and more they seemingly have it all. If you dare to try it, they feature a 5,969 calorie pizza. Let me know if you finish it.

Another spot we filmed early on that showed us a lot of love. These guys too started in a parking lot tucked rather deep in the valley and now have a booming brick and mortar.
They also have a spice challenge you need to sign a waiver for and it has yet to be completed. The chicken doesn’t disappoint and they have a unique flavor down pact. As for the challenge, lets just say my friend ended up crying and tapping out. Big time heat.
